Athletico Paranaense and Brazil goalkeeper wants a move to Inter Milan, who are hurrying to beat competition from the Premier League for his signature.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Goal is a position in which Inter have decided to make a signing this summer.

Currently, Yann Sommer is the clear Number One between the posts for Inter.

The Swiss international veteran joined the Nerazzurri from Bayern Munich last summer.

Meanwhile, Emil Audero is Sommer’s deputy. The 27-year-old arrived from Sampdoria on loan last summer.

Inter have a purchase option to sign Audero on a permanent basis.

The Nerazzurri can pay Sampdoria €7 million to sign the Italian this summer.

However, Inter do not see Audero as an option for the starting role in the future. Therefore, they consider that amount to be too high to pay to sign the former Juventus keeper on a permanent basis.

Bento Wants Inter – Nerazzurri In A Hurry To Beat Premier League Competition

The Gazzetta confirm that Paranaense keeper Bento is Inter’s main target in goal.

The Nerazzurri believe that the 24-year-old is the ideal long-term goalkeeper. He is also seen as having the right qualities with the ball at his feet to facilitate a possession-based style of play.

And Inter have one key advantage in the race to sign Bento.

The Brazilian wants to join the Nerazzurri this summer. He has already given his personal green light on the move last summer when Inter’s interest emerged.

But interest in Bento’s signature is growing, particularly from the Premier League.

Therefore, Inter know they will have to move fast.

The Nerazzurri will hold a meeting next month to discuss transfer strategy. How to get a move for Bento off the ground quickly will be one of the key priorities.

The Gazzetta note that Bento has a €60 million release clause in his contract with Paranaense.

However, the Brazilian club would likely allow him to go for around €20 million.

Inter are thinking about which sales they can make in order to fund a move for Bento.

The likes of Mattia Zanotti, Gaetano Oristanio, ZInho Vanheusden, Sebastiano Esposito, and Francesco Pio Esposito could be among those to leave for fees.
