Former Bengals right tackle La'el Collins is a free agent, but he could have a new home in the near future.
Cincinnati released the 30-year-old on Tuesday. Collins has received interest from "nearly a dozen teams" according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
The veteran is still recovering from a torn ACL, but is expected to be fully healthy within the next 4-6 weeks, league sources tell All Bengals.
Collins started 15 games for Cincinnati last season before injuring his knee in a Christmas Eve win over the Patriots. He underwent knee reconstruction surgery in January and spent the entire offseason on the Bengals' roster.
By releasing Collins, Cincinnati cleared up to $7.4 million in cap space this season and $7 million next season.
Keep an eye on the Patriots. New England was interested in Collins before he signed with the Bengals prior to the 2022 campaign.
Other teams that could make sense include the Seahawks, Jets and Dolphins.
Sources: Free agent OT La’el Collins has received interest from nearly a dozen teams. Collins, who tore his ACL in December, is scheduled to meet on Monday with Dr. Eldridge of UCLA.
