Los Angeles Lakers fans are upset with the team’s reported plans for the 2024 NBA Draft this summer. The report surfaced hours after the Lakers were knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by the Denver Nuggets.

The Los Angeles Lakers could blow up their roster

After the loss, heavy speculation focused on the Lakers’ roster continuity for next season. Quite frankly, the Lakers need to adjust their roster after two consecutive playoff series losses to the Nuggets. They’re 1-8 against the Nuggets in their previous two playoff series.

The Lakers want to keep Lebron James

Some analysts are curious if the Lakers will keep James for next season. As previously discussed on HH, the Lakers want to keep James, and they’re willing to draft his son to keep him in LA:

According to a report by Shams Charania, Jovan Buha, and Sam Amick of The Athletic, the Lakers are willing to take the Bronny James route. That is, LA is exploring the prospect of scooping up LeBron’s eldest son via the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft:

“Team sources say the Lakers are very open to the prospect of helping LeBron fulfill his dream of playing with his son Bronny by potentially drafting him,” read the report.

Lakers fans react to the report on Bronny James

One problem with the Lakers drafting Bronny is that most scouts don’t see him as a draft pick. While he might be a contributor when the team needs defensive help, his offense isn’t at an NBA level.

The Lakers selecting him in the draft would be a waste of a pick. Maybe the team could consider trading back to add draft capital so they can select him late in the draft,

Here are the best takes on Lakers fans being upset by the news they might draft Bronny.
