Denver Nuggets: Dejected Nikola Jokic Casts Doubt on Immediate Future With Serbian National Team
Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic did all he could on Sunday night to help carry his team to a trip back to the Western Conference Finals. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves just proved to be a challenge they could not overcome.

The title defense is officially over for the Nuggets and at this point, it’s not surprising that more basketball appears to be the last thing on Jokic’s mind at the moment.

Denver Nuggets News: Nikola Jokic Unsure About Upcoming Olympics Stint With Serbia

During his post-game press conference on Sunday, the three-time NBA MVP was asked about his plans this summer. In particular, a reporter wanted Jokic to share his thoughts on the Serbian national tea’s upcoming Olympics stint.

Apparently, Jokic isn’t even sure if he wants to suit up for the prestigious international tournament in July:

According to Jokic, he needs time to ponder over his decision on whether or not he will be joining the national squad for the Paris games. Right now, it is clear that Jokic isn’t in the mood to be thinking that far ahead.

You can almost feel the dejection in the way Jokic sighed after addressing the question.

I guess the silver lining for Jokic here is that at least he will get to spend more time with his horses in Serbia now that the season is over. I am pretty sure, however, that that experience won’t be as enjoyable as it was for Jokic as it was last summer.
